How do wedding flowers work?

Is another one of the most commonly googled questions by couples planning their wedding. For most of our couples it's their first time planning a wedding so here we'll explain what a wedding week looks like for us in a little more detail!

For us your wedding day flower journey begins when you contact us through our enquiry form, usually 18-6 months before your wedding date. We then plan, discuss and create a personalised quote for you and your day. Once you are booked in we get in touch with you for a final call around 8 weeks before the wedding to check through all the timings and details for the day.

At the beginning of your wedding week we pre-order your flowers from our wholesaler as well as any additional items like candles and materials.

We then prepare all our equipment, clean buckets, tools and pre-prepare any mechanics we can create ahead of time.

2-4 days before your wedding your flowers will arrive, these are dropped off with us, or collected from one of our wholesalers. Once we have picked up your flowers they are conditioned (any extra leaves are removed and the stems are cut to get each flower at its best condition).

The day before we create your ceremony and reception flowers, as well as prepare buckets of flowers and the mechanics to create any installations on the day

On your wedding day we drop off your personal flowers, bridal, bridesmaids bouquets and buttonholes to the pre-arranged location and make any final adjustments, or help your groomsmen pop on their buttonholes.

We set-up your ceremony flowers and any other venue flowers - if you are re-using flowers from the ceremony for the reception, or the room is being turned around we stay and set-up the remaining flowers, complete our final checks and head home!

The following morning we return to the venue to remove any of the rental items like vases and mechanics, as well as any flowers you don't wish to take home.

We aim to always provide a relaxed and enjoyable approach to wedding flowers with our couples, if you have any questions about what we do or how we can help you create your dream wedding flowers get in touch today through our enquiry form!
